The 1883 Scholarship Donation Program

Named for the year the fair began, the 1883 Program lets individuals and businesses contribute directly to the Association’s scholarship fund — the money that sends Guadalupe County students into agricultural and livestock studies each year.

In 2025 the Association awarded scholarships to eleven area students. Every dollar donated, every cornhole entry and every ticket to the Scholarship Roping Fiesta goes to the same place.

Other ways to support the fund

  • Cornhole Tournament — hosted by Backyard Jokerz on Kickoff Saturday, benefiting the scholarship fund.
  • Scholarship Roping Fiesta — team roping and breakaway, Sunday October 4, in honor of Tuddy & Jeanette Dietz.
  • Scholarship Fund Raiser — Sunday, October 11, 3:00–5:00 PM on the fairgrounds.
  • Sponsorship — see the 2026 sponsorship package.

Positions are available now

The Fair Association is already planning new events, booking bands and more for 2026. Come back often, and become a member to help provide a future for our youth in the field of agriculture.
